Can’t Find Parts You’re Looking For These Days… Too Expensive?
I have to ask myself over and over… Why? Why are folks still trying to order parts from overseas knowing there’s a shortage and the possibility of a recession looming in the wake. I wish I had the skills to be an electrician, and I’m not talking about the ones that fix houses. Electricians that repair things like audio equipment, game counsels, and high priced computer stuff. I be all over buying bulk salvage goods and either refurbishing them or cherry picking the parts to sale or use personally.
Some savvy business minded crafts have figured it out. They make a living from buying salvage items of the same sort and using parts from one unit to fix the other and sell the item for three to four times the purchase price. Others take the choice parts for a unit and have created an online parts store for hard to find items that take forever and a day to get due to the long waiting list.
Then there are items that are not fully functional. You know what I’m talking about right? You may get a pair of Beat by Dre with only one side has sound coming to the left ear but not the right. Can’t be sold for New or Used… so, now it forced to be sold as… right… salvage or not working for pennies on the dollar. To some that may be a simple fix or you may can get a $250 product fixed for $60… in any case you saved close to $200 dollars. And if you turned around and sold them for $150 you still made a very nice profit.
So, if you’re looking for a deep discounts or you know how to extract valuable parts from salvage products… then bid on actions for parts not working and enjoy the profits.
